Welcome to Wiki Leadership, a site dedicated to the promotion of leadership theory and practice through active collaboration among leadership educators. Just as everyone plays a role in the process of leadership, this site will allow all to share in the knowledge of past and current leadership theory and practice. The process of leadership belongs to all, and so should the knowledge of who has had an impact on leadership scholarship and what theories and models inform current practice. The sharing of information has evolved as the internet has grown and matured. As the internet community becomes more "open source", it makes sense that leadership education follow suit. The sharing of leadership knowledge should not be "top down" but rather an open relationship that allows and expects all "citizens" to contribute to its growth. Think of this as Leadership 2.0. We invite all to participate in adding information to this website as it relates to leadership, whether it be through biographies of prominent leadership educators or theorists, models of leadership theory, or best practices in the arena of leadership education. We do ask that all contributors register as members of this site and that no posts be anonymous. We also ask that contributions follow APA style and acknowledge all referenced materials. It is our hope that this wiki will be a model of collaboration and that all contributing members will feel ownership over the material presented. Obviously, this wiki is only as useful as the information that is added by the community. So please invite anyone you know who can help add to our knowledge of leadership so that this wiki can have both breadth and depth. Thank you for visiting and for your participation in Leadership 2.0! |
